2016 Christmas Meeting

Wednesday 14th December

It was a very hot summers day and the air conditioning was running well, so as all walked through our door the relief from outside was immediately felt. This helped make the day start with lots of research, general catch up and preparing for our last meeting of the year.

DSC05164We had a fantastic role up from our members so it was decided to take advantage of the lounge area next to our research room to hold our meeting. At the end of the meeting the Roma Robbins Writing Award was presented to Pam Johnson. Her story was in our December PHT and was on “Susannah Dowling”. Congratulations Pam on your very interesting story.

Next followed the draw of our raffle – 3 prizes were given out. Pam won the Chocolate Basket, Heather Sedgwick won the Sea Shell package and Lindsay Bishell took home a voucher to receive a free NSW BDM Transcription. Well done to all.

Marg McIntosh and her sister Kathleen, together sang a few songs ending with a Christmas Tune to get us all in the mode of the season. They were very entertaining and the gang sang along with them and played their musical instruments for the finale.

This was all followed by much chatting and laughs, along with eating and enjoying all the various goodies that everyone bought along for the afternoon tea. Gloria did the honours and cut the Christmas Cake that John put so much effort in making for us all. It was extra yummy with all that brandy!!!!

Merry Christmas to you

and we look forward to seeing you all back next year
