Fact or Fiction ??
- A group of owls is called a parliament.
- Polar Bears have black skin
- Kangaroos cannot walk or jump backwards
- Crocodiles are colourblind
- AncestryDNA genetic results go back hundreds to more than a thousand years, when populations and the boundaries they claimed were often very different. This might lead to different genetic results than you expect.
- Why do siblings have different ancestry DNA results?
- Only half of a parent’s genes are passed on to each child, and siblings (except identical twins) don’t inherit the exact same half. This means your siblings received some genes you didn’t, and vice versa. You and your siblings share about 50% of your DNA with each other.
- Do you have the same blood type as your mother? Just like eye color, your blood type is passed genetically from your parents. You inherit a gene from each parent so your blood type may not be the same as your parents. For example: If you inherit an A gene from your father and an A gene from your mother, you will either have type A or O blood.
