8th December Societies Christmas BBQ
Today we had our Christmas BBQ at Burrill Lake. The weather was cool but for many of us that was not such a bad thing as yesterday was 36 degrees – maybe that would have been a little too warm for a BBQ and gathering.
A fantastic turn up for the day with many new members coming along to join in with the festive cheer. As usual there was plenty of food to share – a big thank you to everyone for their contributions. The one vegan was so
well catered for – she struggled to eat all that yummy food, but achieved it in the end.

id well. Everyone was happy. Lots of chatting and catch up. The raffle was drawn after lunch – there were many prizes. The winners were all delighted with their picks. Sandra, Bruce, Meg, Bev, Cheryl, Laurel, Vicky were our prize winners and all were present at the BBQ.
It is also the weekend when our society started 40 years ago.
