Our society achieved second prize in Category A for 2019 (under 500 members in the group) in the Nick Vine Hall awards. A certificate was awarded to the Society as well as one our Editor, Julie Gullan for the December 2018 issue of the “Pigeon House Tidings”.
John Sparks accepted this award on behalf of our society and Julie Gullan received hers.
Congratulations were given as we were all delighted with achieving this.
The Nick Vine Hall Award is an annual event. It is for the best family history journal/newsletter in Australia and New Zealand. The Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations Inc. (AFFHO) provides this award to encourage its member societies to produce quality journals/newsletters, and to honour Nick Vine Hall AM.
