Workshop Meetings
Workshop Meetings of the society are held on the second Sunday of each month
at the Community Technology Centre, in Room A, Building 3 of the Multipurpose Centre
at 82 St Vincent Street, Ulladulla. Visitors and new members are very welcome.
A small door fee of $5 for members and $10 for visitors is charged to cover research, catering and other costs.
Doors open at 10.00am and run through till approximately 4.00pm.
All our research facilities and internet use are available during the workshop day, except between 1.00pm and 2.00pm
where we hold an informal get together to exchange information and give advice to our members.
From time to time we hold discussions on selected research topics, research problems, and also may have guest speakers.
The Society's Annual General Meeting is held in July of each year.
Membership Fees
Membership Fees are $30 per year for a single membership and $50 per year for family membership
and all subscriptions are due by 30th June each year.
Research Facilities
Our library contains reference books, other books on aspects of family research and journals received from other groups.
These are available on workshop days. Members can borrow books (other than reference books)
and any exchange journals, on a monthly basis.
We have a good range of microfiche and growing stock of CD's which we can access on our PC's.
The CD's are available for borrowing on payment of a small deposit.
Internet facilities are available at workshop meetings.
Our Journal
"Pigeon House Tidings"
is published twice per year - in June and December.
This is exchanged with many other family history groups throughout Australia
New Zealand, England Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
Each Wednesday
Between
10.00 am and 12.00 noon a member of the Society attends the Milton Library
to provide advice to those wishing to start their family research.
Local Newsaper
Details about our meetings and coming events are published in the Milton Ulladulla Times
each month on the Wednesday before our workshops and again two weeks later. |
