The “Parkin” Lot….James Pakin [1800-1850 and Mary Lythgoe[1792-1866]….James and Mary had nine children born in Liverpool, England. ….they arrived in Sydney in 1849….James wrote a diary of this voyage out to Australia and a description of Sydney Harbour. Further stories of the children….

The Bishop, the Cricketer and the Antarctic Explorer…. “Margaret Masterson was a convict who arrived in the colony of NSW in1818…convicted of passing forged notes….her two daughter accompanied her…she was listed as a washerwoman…Margaret married John Owen at St. John’s Church Parramatta.   Her three grandsons made their mark as a Bishop, a Cricketer, and an Explorer….
